John Pang, MD is a head and neck surgeon specializing in oncologic and reconstructive surgery while advancing the field through research, education, and patient advocacy. He attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University where he discovered a passion for treating patients with head and neck cancer. He subsequently matched into otolaryngology residency at the University of California - San Diego where his interests expanded to include optimizing quality of life through the reconstruction of complex head and neck defects, transoral robotic surgery, and health policy. He then completed fellowship training at University of Washington primarily under Dr. Neal Futran - a pioneer in the field of microvascular reconstruction.Dr. Pang’s goal is to understand his patients’ stories to learn how he can best support them to live cancer-free. He is a strong believer in the strength of community, spirit, and purpose in helping patients live their lives to the fullest.
