Eric Lentsch, MD
Dr. Lentsch is a surgeon who specializes in head and neck cancer, thyroid tumors, salivary tumors, and skin cancers of the head and neck, particularly melanoma. In addition he has the largest experience in South Carolina with salivary endoscopy and minimally invasive salivary gland surgery as well as with hypoglossal nerve stimulator implantation - the newest surgical treatment for obstructive sleep apnea.
He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky and earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville. Dr. Lentsch continued at the University of Louisville for his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency and then completed a two year fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center. After this he served as Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery first at the University of Louisville for six years and then at the Medical University of South Carolina for 17 years. he is currently the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Head and Neck Specialists in Charleston, South Carolina.
