Dr. Babber is the Assistant Division Chief Medical Officer, for the Gulf Coast Division - HCA.  He is part of the leadership team that oversees the clinical performance and quality for the HCA hospitals and access sites across the Houston and South Texas markets.

Prior to his role at the Gulf Coast Division, Dr. Babber was the Chief Medical Officer of Medical City Plano, a 603 bed Level 1 Trauma Center, and Medical City Frisco (part of HCA Healthcare - North Texas Division). He served as the executive leader over quality, medical staff services, graduate medical education (GME) and research. Dr. Babber also had executive oversight for the Sarah Cannon Cancer Hospital/oncology service line and the Wound Clinic at Medical City Plano.

In the past, I served as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Harris Health System, where I was responsible for quality, performance improvement, accreditation, utilization, patient safety and medical staff services. I practiced clinically as an emergency room physician at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Veterans Affairs.
