GCD Director of Trauma Operations

Elizabeth Seislove, MSN, RN is currently employed with the Gulf Coast Division of The Hospital Corporation of America (HCA).  Her daily operations focus on Quality and Regulatory which includes serving as the trauma expert in strategic planning, trauma program directorship, quality coordination and accreditation preparation.  Prior to this, Betsy served as the Senior Vice President for a Senior Living Company in Denver, Colorado.  Her leadership responsibility encompassed oversite for clinical operations and care delivery including quality and prevention for 40 Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities.  Prior to that role, Betsy was the Assistant Vice President for Trauma Services with HCA Corporate in Nashville, Tennessee.  Her responsibilities included assisting HCA verified, upgrading or inaugural trauma programs with accreditation processes, standards of optimal care along with research and evidenced practice throughout the enterprise.  Before moving to HCA, she was the Director of the Trauma Program at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA which included, Adult Level I, III and IV centers, Level II Pediatric and ABA accredited Burn Center. 

Betsy is a Past President of the Society of Trauma Nurses, and previous chair of the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) committee and Neuro Significant Interest Groups.  She has served on several local and national boards of directors including the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF), and member of the EAST Foundation Board.  She has presented locally, regionally, nationally and internationally on various trauma topics.  She has been honored and awarded with multiple recognitions for her clinical, operational and leadership qualities.
