Dr. Darwin Ang is a surgeon and academic leader with over two decades of experience in clinical practice, research, clinical innovation, medical education, and healthcare administration. His career is distinguished by numerous awards, leadership roles, and significant contributions to trauma surgery and critical care.  As the founding Medical Director of Trauma Services for HCA, Dr. Ang expanded trauma services nationwide.  He has played a key role in national trauma system development and advocacy.  His outstanding teaching abilities and contributions to surgical residency programs have been widely recognized. As the inaugural Program Director of the General Surgery Residency at UCF-HCA Consortium, he achieved top accreditation scores.  Dr. Ang's extensive experience is complemented by his roles on various state and national advisory councils, including an appointment by Florida’s two consecutive governors to serve in their state’s trauma advisory council.
