Dr. Luyten served as CMO for the practice’s Colorado-Kansas market for three years, during which time he fostered integration between those two markets and oversaw enhancements in clinical quality, operations, and patient experience. He also guided the development of a proposal for CarePoint’s first emergency medicine residency program. He joined CarePoint after completing his Emergency Medicine training at Denver Health Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident. He graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine. In addition, he has held the position of Medical Director for both the HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge and Swedish emergency departments. He is the former Swedish Medical Staff President and HCA HealthONE President’s Council Chair-Elect. He has also served as EMS Medical Director for numerous EMS agencies in Colorado.
