Mauled by a grizzly bear in 2016. Treated and transported via several vehicles to Swedish Medical where I underwent six years of reconstructive surgery. My wife played an invaluable part of my reconstruction, physical rehabilitation and financial support and communicating with the hospital administration, doctors and insurance providers. I endured forty plus surgeries over a six year period and continue contact with my Swedish medical team updating and monitoring my recovery. 
 

Lee will lead his resilience keynote, built around his grizzly attack story and the five decisions that helped him survive and rebuild. Martha, Lee’s wife, will join Lee for smaller portions of the program, sharing her perspective as part of their story. The presentation will be adapted to the audience and is normally 45–60 minutes, followed by questions if the schedule allows. If Martha becomes unexpectedly unavailable, Lee can still fulfill the engagement by delivering the full keynote on his own.
