Nathaniel McCoy, EMT-P, CCEMTP, NRP, FP-C

Nathaniel K. McCoy is an experienced paramedic and aviation medicine professional with a dedicated career in prehospital emergency care. Beginning his journey in EMS nearly two decades ago, Nathaniel has served in a wide range of high-acuity environments, building a reputation for clinical excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community-focused emergency response.
He currently serves as a Flight Paramedic with MedCenter Air, where he provides critical care transport across the region, delivering advanced medical interventions in some of the most complex and time‑sensitive situations. His role integrates expertise in trauma, critical care, and aviation operations, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care during air medical transport.
In addition to his flight role, Nathaniel is the Chief of the Watauga County Rescue Squad in Boone, North Carolina. As both a paramedic and certified technical rescuer, he leads a dedicated team responsible for specialty rescue operations, including wilderness search and rescue, technical rope rescue, and disaster response. His leadership emphasizes operational readiness, safety, and continuing education for his members and community.
