The 10th Annual Corey Pittman Prehospital Symposium is a one-day conference focused on providing evidence based, best practice clinical education to prehospital and emergency department providers. This year the symposium is focusing the educational content on the theme of "Flow". Presentations and breakout sessions will be centered around the concepts of perfusion management in the prehospital environment. This year's symposium will begin with dynamic, interactive presentations followed by hands-on breakout sessions, all with the aim of providing a curriculum attendees can immediately apply to the to their clinical practice

Prehospital providers - EMTs, Paramedics, Flight Paramedics and Nurses Emergency Department providers Respiratory Therapists

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Gain clinical confidence in identifying and controlling severe maternal hemorrhage.
  • Identify cardiogenic shock and what the best practices according to literature and clinical experts for combating patients experiencing cardiogenic shock. 
  • Comprehend the diamond of death and how prehospital/emergency department care of trauma patients must focus on counteracting the four components of the diamond of death.
