Karole Davis

Karole Davis, MD, FACS is a dual-certified general and critical care surgeon at Mission Hospital in Asheville, where she serves as the Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. A dedicated educator with extensive faculty experiences at Vanderbilt University, University of Arizona and Creighton University, she is also the program director for the MAHEC Surgical Critical Care fellowship, focusing on mentoring the next generation of intensivist surgeons.
Dr. Davis earned her medical degree from the University of St. Eustatius, followed by surgical residency at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix, Arizona and fellowship training in surgical critical care, trauma and acute care surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her leadership combines frontline emergency surgery with high-acuity clinical excellence and long-term critical care outcomes, focusing on clinical excellence and physician advocacy.
