I began my career as a street paramedic and started flying with MAMA in 1989. After several years in the field, I went to nursing school and worked in both the cardiovascular ICU and the ER, which strengthened my critical care foundation. I eventually returned to the air medical world as a flight nurse. Later, I became a nurse practitioner and spent a few years as an inpatient neurology NP before ultimately returning to full-time flight practice.
