Krishnan (Krish) Sankaranarayanan MS, MBA, FACHE, DFASHRM, FNAHQ, CPPS
Krish brings with him 38 years of healthcare industry experience. Prior to joining HCA Kingwood, he was the Patient Safety Director at The Los Robles Hospital in the Far West Division in Thousand Oaks, California. Prior to that Krish worked for the Joint Commission as an International Surveyor, he surveyed over 80 hospitals in 20 countries. Krish also had a long stint with the Johns Hopkins affiliated hospital in the Middle East, where he implemented the Hopkins culture of safety program called the CUSP, which became an award winning and widely published program.
Krish holds a master’s degree (MS) in Patient Safety Leadership from the University of Illinois. He is Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Fellow of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (FNAHQ), and Distinguished Fellow of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (DFASHRM). Krish has published many articles on patient safety, and he is a contributing author of the ASHRM Patient Safety Risk Management Playbook. Krish was a former member of the NAHQ Board of Directors (International Strategic Advisory Council Chair). Krish received the “Claire Glover Distinguished Member Award” by NAHQ. Krish was the founding member and the President of the ACHE Middle East & North Africa Group. Krish’s expertise includes culture of safety, healthcare risk management, high reliability, human factors, and continuous quality improvement.
