Miranda Applegate became a Registered Nurse in 2003 after completing her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University. She has gained extensive background in her nursing practice within the following specialties; Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU and Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab. Ms. Applegate has remained passionate in caring for patients and families, as well as educating fellow nurses and healthcare staff, obtaining a Masters in Nurse Education in 2024 from Purdue University Global. Ms. Applegate maintains certifications for Certified Pediatric Nurse, Certified Pediatric Critical Care Nurse, as well as involvement in the ANA, AACN and SPN.  Her love of travel led her to become a Pediatric ICU travel nurse, completing nearly 15 assignments around the country, as well as Pediatric Cardiac Surgery volunteer work with Gift of Life in Uganda, her home is now in Denver, Colorado. She continues to strive to share pediatric healthcare education with her peers and colleagues in the Outreach Department at Rocky Mountain Children's; she is the current Outreach Clinical Practice Education Specialist.
