This activity is designed to provide multidisciplinary trauma professionals with current, evidence-based knowledge and practical strategies to improve the assessment, treatment, and outcomes of injured patients across the continuum of care. Through presentations addressing emerging technologies, trauma clinical management, disaster and mass casualty preparedness, prehospital care, quality improvement, patient safety, and special populations, participants will enhance their ability to deliver high-quality, coordinated care in diverse clinical settings. The conference also aims to strengthen interprofessional collaboration among physicians, nurses, EMS providers, and allied healthcare professionals while addressing contemporary challenges affecting both patient and provider well-being. By applying the knowledge gained, participants will be better equipped to improve clinical decision-making, optimize trauma system performance, and advance patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply current evidence-based guidelines and emerging best practices in the assessment, management, and treatment of trauma patients across the continuum of care.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary strategies, quality improvement principles, and emerging technologies to enhance patient safety, optimize clinical decision-making, and improve trauma system performance.
  • Implement effective approaches for disaster preparedness, mass casualty incident response, prehospital care, and management of special trauma populations to improve patient outcomes and care coordination.
