Activity Description:

The Grand Rounds presentation hopes to educate all healthcare professionals about the current recommended guidelines for treatment of Hypertension in the outpatient setting. We will discuss the International Society of Hypertension Global Hypertension Practice Guidelines and an overall approach to Hypertension treatment with the most recent recommendations. This includes proper diagnostics and techniques for quantifying patients' blood pressure, as well as a variety of medications used for treatment. This presentation will allow healthcare professionals to further understand Hypertension treatment in the adult population.

Learning Objectives:

1. Familiarize with the ISH Hypertension treatment guidelines

2. Understand the techniques used in the measurement of blood pressure

3. Learn a variety of medications and treatment options for hypertension

4. Apply these guidelines to the adult population with several patient cases
