Activity Description:

Continuous education needs of EMS staff to keep current on pediatric management and assessment of various medical problems that can/will happen. Discuss up to the minute pediatric EMS news, review articles and utilize best practices in managing urgent care and critical pediatric patients. Increase knowledge for all EMS staff on situations that have occurred and to increase health care providers awareness on guidelines and procedures.

Target Audience: 

Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistance, Residents, Medical Students, Emergency Medical Services

1. Able to describe care and treatment plans for city and state guidelines

2. Knowledge of comprehensive EMS systems and procedures

3. Understand medical/legal and ethical issues which is intended to improve the health of EMS personnel
