Activity Description:

The PSL/RMHC Pediatric Case Conference is an interactive, interdisciplinary forum that is held on a monthly basis to present and discuss questions of best medical care of pediatric cancer patients. Peer reviewed data pertaining to diagnostic, therapeutic or management dilemmas are presented and discussed at this conference. Cases with rare cancer or unique presentations, or those that have had unforeseen complications are discussed as well.

Target Audience:

Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Pediatricians, Pediatric subspecialists, Pediatric radiotherapists, and other child health care professionals, Pharmacists, Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, Dietitians, Athletic Trainers, Patient Care Facilitators and all other personnel involved in the care of the pediatric patient.  

Learning Objectives:

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • To update pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, pediatric radiotherapists, and other child health care professionals on the latest developments in Pediatric Oncology.
  • To address the new clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic modalities that pediatricians and pediatric specialists need to incorporate in their daily practice and care of children.
  • To advance the knowledge and skills of pediatricians and pediatric specialists in the early recognition of pediatric oncologic diseases.
  • To promote and direct lectures, conferences, and literature reviews in Pediatric Oncology to pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, and other child health care professionals.
