Activity Description:
The Radiology Journal Club provides educational opportunities that support lifelong learning, based on identified gaps and potential areas of improvement within our system of care. Journal Club activities are offered to increase providers knowledge and share current research in the field of radiology. Journal Club is to increase provider knowledge of evidence-based medicine and best practices, increase research knowledge and principles, with the ultimate goal of providing improved quality of patient care. Leads to improvement of patient care through journal article discussions.
Target Audience:
Physicians/Residents/Medical Students/Clinical Staff
Learning Objectives:
- Perform up-to-date evidence-based medicine by improvement of critique skills in Radiology articles.
- Summarize educational knowledge of materials to others (patients, providers, students, residents) on evidence-based medicine and best clinical practices.
- Review up-to-date pertinent Radiology topics and research methods through reviews and discussions of articles and literature.
