Activity Description:

The Spine Conference Journal Club provides educational opportunities that support lifelong learning, based on identified gaps and potential areas of improvement within our system of care. Journal Club activities are offered to increase providers knowledge and share current research pertaining to spine care, upcoming challenging spine cases, reviewing new technology available. Participants will learn about spine complications and review cases in a morbidity/mortality format. Journal Club is to increase provider knowledge of evidence-based medicine and best practices, increase research knowledge and principles, with the ultimate goal of providing improved quality of patient care. 

Target Audience:

Spine Surgeon Physicians

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify different techniques to surgically treat spine conditions.
  • Summarize educational knowledge of spine pathology and conditions. 
  • Review up-to-date pertinent spine topics and research methods through reviews and discussions of articles and literature.
  • Improve patient outcomes and prevent complications.
