Activity Description:

The series reviews history, diagnoses, physical exams and assessment/management of specific EMS cases. Increase knowledge for all EMS staff on situations that have occurred and to increase health care providers awareness on guidelines and procedures. An interactive format that includes question and answer panel discussions regarding thoracic trauma cases.

Target Audience: 

Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistance, Residents, Medical Students, Emergency Medical Services

Learning Objectives:

1. Review case presentations to discuss strategies for improving patient safety

2. Knowledge of comprehensive EMS systems and procedures

3. Discuss medical, legal and ethical issues which is intended to improve patient care
