Activity Description:

Review all criteria for diagnosis, appropriate diagnostic methodology principals/ method of treatment for cancer. Describe the rational/ indications for new diagnosis/treatment methods and implications. Discussion to determine follow up treatment for patients with lung nodules greater than 8mm.

Physicians - Medical Oncology, Radiology Oncology, Pathology, Surgery, Pulmonary, Thoracic Surgery

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Identify ways to provide comprehensive care for lung tumor patients through a collaborative team effort.
  2. Evaluate different specialty approaches to lung tumor treatment and care.
  3. Implement best practices discussed in tumor board presentations. 
  4. Identify and address issues of race, language and ethnic implications, including implicit bias, in lung cancer diagnosis, care and treatment.
