Activity Description:

The Trauma Peer Review Committee is a monthly meeting utilized to review trauma patient courses, including mortalities, patients with hospital events, and other notable cases. It is attended by specialty physician liaisons and nursing directors from the emergency, critical care and surgical areas. This time is also utilized to review data, look at peer-reviewed studies and approve policies and guidelines.

Target Audience: 

Specialty liaisons, nursing directors, and pharmacy managers involved in the care of St. Mark's Hospital trauma patients

Learning Objectives:

  • Recall and practice in-line with current peer-reviewed research best practices
  • Apply surgical recommendations as identified in case reviews
  • Utilize clinical practice guidelines in management of trauma patients
