Activity Description:

Neurovascular conference is a weekly presentation and discussion of active patients in the hospital. Discussions regarding imaging results and plan of care for neurovascular patients. Improving quality and standard of care through learning the newest research data and treatment options. This acts as the stroke case review that is required by Joint Commission for stroke certification.  Additionally, practical guidance related to diagnostic and treatment approaches will be shared in order to facilitate high quality, evidence-based care to this patient population.  Education will be provided via lectures, case-reviews, and interactive question and answer session.  Each participant will be asked to complete an evaluation of the educational offering.

Target Audience: 

Neurologists, emergency department physicians, neurovascular physicians, hospitalists, neuro-intensivists, neurology residents and fellows, medical students, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses and emergency medical service providers

Learning Objectives:

• Identify imaging results
• Able to give a plan of care for active inpatients from the discussions and presentation in conference
• Understand current standard of care through presented patient diagnosis
