Activity Description:

This Thoracic Surgery Grand Round series aims to bring together health professionals from various specialties and fields to improve knowledge about Thoracic Surgery. Evidence-based lectures and discussion surrounding various thoracic diagnostics, care techniques, and treatment options will help providers improve clinical performance resulting in more comprehensive care for patients. The primary outcome for this series is to address the critical need for state-of-the-art, contemporary education for medical teams.

Target Audience: 

Attendees may include physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, and other medical professionals seeking to expand their knowledge in this field.

  • Present and discuss the rapid evolution of the field of thoracic oncology
  • Examine the importance of molecular cancer testing and therapeutic decision making
  • Assess the importance of early multidisciplinary discussion in patient care and long term outcomes
