Activity Description:

The series will provide an intensive, practical focus on evidence-based approaches to complex everyday problems that span the realm of cardiovascular with emphasis on recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment strategies needed to improve clinical performance within the Cardiovascular hospital setting. An interactive format will include a didactic presentation with case reviews, and question and answer panel discussions. New valve and cardiac surgery cases correlations will be discussed during the presentations to discuss treatment improvements for outcomes of cardiovascular patients.

Target Audience:

Cardiologists, Hospitalists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Advance Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Physicians and Residents

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Knowledge of cardiovascular valve and cardiac surgery techniques and procedures
  2. Review contributing causes of diagnostic and management errors and propose strategies for improving patient safety
  3. Discuss recommendations for Cardiovascular changes that improve patient care
