Activity Description:
This session will explore the role of cardiac stress testing in the evaluation of non-acute chest pain patients encountered by prehospital providers. We will delve into the clinical decision-making proess for EMS personnel, focusing on identifying patients who may benefit from further workup for obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD).
Target Audience:
Hospitalists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Advance Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Physicians and Residents, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers.
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate between acute and non-acute chest pain presentations in the prehospital setting.
- Identify key risk factors for obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) relevant to prehospital assessments.
- Utilize clinical decision-making tools and protocols for determining the need for further evaluation of chest pain in non-acute patients.
