Activity Description:
This activity is designed to equip EMS providers with essential knowledge on the role of endovascular procedures in the acute treatment of stroke. Participants will learn how to identify stroke symptoms and understand the importance of early recognition and rapid transport to specialized stroke centers for potential thrombectomy. The course will cover the latest evidence on pre-hospital stroke assessment, the timing of interventions, and how EMS can support the coordination of care between pre-hospital and hospital teams. Through case studies and expert guidance, attendees will gain practical skills to improve patient outcomes by enhancing their role in the stroke care continuum.
Target Audience:
Hospitalists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Advance Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Physicians and Residents, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers.
