These courses are intended for internal hospital staff.

Activity Description:

Address standards of care issues and educate physicians on best practices. Facilitate inter-professional collaboration, discussion, and evidence-based case review related to clinical indications for surgery, treatment plans, and interventions for patients with traumatic injuries and conditions. Provide updates in technology, evidence based medicine and review past cases for improvements in patient outcomes. 

Target Audience:

This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe new techniques and strategies in trauma.
  2. Examine and critique information presented on both recognized and innovative management practices for trauma patients.
  3. Identify the diagnosis, management, and treatment options of trauma patients.
  4. Review and discuss current guidelines and journal articles in order to provide optimal care for patients.
