Josh Forsyth, RN, BSN, EMT-P, FPC
Josh Forsyth is an experienced firefighter, paramedic, and registered nurse. He currently serves as the director of the Street and Air Critical Care program for Utah Valley University and works as a paramedic/firefighter for the Provo City Fire Department, as well as an RN in the Emergency Department at Timpanogos Regional Hospital.
Josh’s career began in 2002 with Provo City Fire Department after studying fire science and paramedicine Utah Valley University (UVU). He later pursued a nursing degree, working in the Shock Trauma ICU and Emergency Department at Intermountain Medical Center while continuing his education and earning a bachelor’s in nursing from BYU-I.
The past decade Josh spent working as a flight nurse for the University of Utah AirMed program from 2014 - 2023. His wide range of experience in emergency care, critical care, and education has made him a key educator in the field of emergency response.
Josh grew up in Orem City, inspired by his father, a firefighter/paramedic, and his mother, a PACU nurse. He has been married for 21 years and is the father of five children. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys supporting his kids in their wide range of sports, spending time with his wife, and participating in a variety of activities in an attempt to stay young forever!
