Activity Description:
This Hospital Committee is made up of a group of healthcare professionals that meet bi-monthly to evaluate medical staff competencies, practices, and processes. The purpose of this meeting is to identify areas for improvement and maintain high standards of patient care; by reviewing cases flagged by pre-determined indicators like incident reports, patient complaints, or serious safety events, with the goal of improving clinical practice without direct attribution to individual providers. At the conclusion of this meeting there will be a development of improvement strategies based on gaps identified.
