Activity Description:

The Grand Rounds Series aims to offer its audience a wide variety of topics from a diverse group of speakers to not only help them remain current on the latest advances in medicine, but to also assist them as they continue to grow professionally. Medicine grand rounds are an integral component of medical education, teaching new information and enhancing clinical reasoning skills. Topics and speakers are selected to provide clinical providers with up-to-date knowledge about timely issues in internal medicine. We enthusiastically invite you to join our integrated knowledge network in this education activity designed to keep practitioners up-to-date on important areas of medicine. 

Target Audience: 

This course is designed for hospitalists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, advance practice nurses, registered nurses, allied health professionals, physicians and residents.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the indications and contraindications for new modalities in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Internal Medicine conditions.
  • Formulate prioritized differential diagnoses for the clinical presentations of specific medical conditions, diagnoses, and diseases.
  • Apply clinical guidelines to patients under their care with an understanding of the rationale behind the guidelines and the expected outcomes of specific medical conditions, diagnoses, diseases.
  • Integrate research techniques related to specific medical conditions, diagnoses, and diseases, into their own clinical, translational or basic science research.
