Activity Description:

The presentation provides an in depth overview of peer support models designed to enhance physician well being. It highlights the challenges medical practitioners face —including burnout, isolation, and work life imbalance—and emphasizes how shared experience and relational trust can improve resilience. The slides outline multiple peer support approaches such as buddy systems, small group discussions, compassion rounds, and crisis response strategies. Evidence based research is integrated throughout to demonstrate how peer connection increases meaning in work and reduces depersonalization. Overall, the presentation encourages creating a culture where clinicians support one another as an essential foundation for excellent patient care.
