
9th Annual Corey Pittman Pre-Hospital Symposium
Overview
The 9th Annual Corey Pittman Prehospital Symposium is a one-day conference focused on providing evidence based, best practice clinical education to prehospital and emergency department providers. This year the symposium is focusing the educational content on the theme of "Breath". Presentations and breakout sessions will be centered around the concepts of airway and ventilation management in the prehospital environment. This year's symposium will begin with dynamic, interactive presentations followed by hands-on breakout sessions in our high-fidelity simulation center all with the aim of providing a curriculum attendees can immediately apply to the to their clinical practice.
Target Audience
The intended audience is Emergency Department providers, Prehospital providers such as EMTs, Paramedics, Flight Paramedics, Nurses and Respiratory Therapists.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify trends related to mismanaged prehospital airway and ventilation to provide guidance for increasing success.
- Demonstrate proficiency and confidence in airway management through lectures and breakout skills sessions.
- Recognize pediatric respiratory conditions and apply both basic and advanced airway management skills as part of the treatment modalities.
